Taking place at The Expo Thursday-Saturday May 31-June 2, the spotlight will also shine on Miss Rodeo America Mackenzie Carr from Veronia, Oregon and Miss Rodeo Oregon Shelby Ross from Sisters, Oregon. Ms. Carr is the first Oregonian to wear the Miss Rodeo America crown.
Professional riders will put on an action-packed show for rodeo fans as they compete in bull riding, saddle-bronc and bareback riding, steer wrestling, barrel racing, tie-down roping and and team roping. Some of this year’s top performers could include former World Champion Bareback Rider Bobby Mote, and the current first and third world-ranked Steer Wrestlers Ethen Thouvenell and Shawn Greenfield. Eagle Point’s own Mert Bradshaw will ride for the prize in the Saddle Bronc competition.
Sponsored locally by Premier West Bank; Lithia Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and RAM Trucks; and Big R Stores, this year’s Wild Rogue Pro Rodeo features hands-on activities for kids and after-party fun for adults. Expo Director Dave Koellermeier said, “We’re really excited to have the world’s best rodeo performers coming to Southern Oregon. I encourage everyone to come out to The Expo for a weekend of world-class performances and great entertainment before, during and after the rodeo.”
