2015 Oregon FFA Job interview Career Development Event

The Oregon FFA Job interview Career Development Event was held at Silverton Union High School, on Saturday, March 21, 2015. First place individual for the event was Ellie Puttman of the Crater FFA Chapter. Elli will be moving on to represent Oregon at the National FFA Convention in October in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Oregon FFA Job Interview Career Development Event is designed for FFA members to develop, practice and demonstrate skills needed in seeking employment in the agricultural industry. Each part of the event simulates “real world” activities that will be used by real world employers. Northwest Farm Credit Services and Wilco sponsored this year’s event.

The Oregon FFA Association has 102 local chapters with 5,750 FFA members. FFA is a national organization of more than 604,210 members preparing for leadership and careers in science, business and technology of agriculture. Local, state and national programs provide opportunities for students to apply knowledge and skills learned in the classroom. FFA’s mission is to make a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career
success through agricultural education.
